A smaller 21 row Choker Breastplate. Navajo made. 12" x 12" plus tie strap. Comes with authenticity tag. Breastplates were worn by warriors in battle and protected them from arrows and spears. After the introduction of bullets in the late 1600s, the breastplates had no purpose except to give the warrior a sense of personal strength. This breastplate is made using genuine bone hair pipes, silver colored metal beads, glass beads, abalone shell, leather spacers and fringe.
